Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic
Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic has been director of SIS since August 2013. Previously she worked as Associate Professor at the University of Zagreb. She was also a Director of Postgraduate Programme in Applied Linguistics at the same university and is still teaching and supervising PhD students. She has written and edited books and research articles on the topics of second language acquisition and multilingualism.
Marta has extensive international experience, having lived in Croatia, England, Ireland, Japan, Hungary and Sweden. She served as a Board member of the American International School of Budapest and as a chair/member of various Croatian and international educational committees and projects. In April 2016 she was elected a Board member of the ECIS.
Marta is passionate about the concept of international education, and creating a positive educational environment where all students can thrive, achieve their best academic potential and become model global citizens. She has three children.
