MYP PHE Teacher
Emily Lotkowictz is entering her second year at SIS, teaching MYP PHE to grades 7-9 and IPC PE to grade 5.
Emily has a wide range and diverse set of experience across education and athletics. Prior to her move to Stockholm, Emily was working in Higher Education, serving as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach and working in Student Development at a college in Boston, USA. She has been able to contribute her experience and share her passion for lacrosse in Sweden and currently serves as the Head Coach of the Swedish National Women’s Lacrosse team, which competed in the 2017 FIL Women’s Lacrosse World Cup, this past July, in England.
Emily holds a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership (M.Ed.) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (B.A.). Additionally, she is currently pursuing her IB educator certificate in teaching and learning.
Emily grew up in Skaneateles, New York – the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of the United States.
Emily believes the essential purpose of an educator is to create an energizing, supportive, and creative learning environment that will bring out the best in students – something she strives to do each day at SIS.
