Mr. Lage Jonason (Chairman)

Lage Jonason has served as chair since 2005. Out of his five children, three have attended SIS. Lage holds degrees in law and economics. From 1974-1980 Lage worked at Lunds University and Administrative Court of Appeal and then turned to a career in the financial sector, working in various investment companies and stock brokerage firms. Lage is currently a private investor and active as Senior Advisor at Erik Penser Bankaktiebolag. He has served on various Boards in listed and non-listed companies and and is also currently a board member for the Sweden America Foundation, providing scholarships for Swedish university students for studies in US and Canada.

Mr. Kalle Bengtsson

Kalle Bengtsson is a Director with the consulting firm McKinsey & Company where he has worked in various offices around the world since 1994. Working alongside clients in the private sector, he has served as an advisor to both publicly and privately operated schools. Kalle holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and a degree from the Language School of Sweden’s Armed Forces. Together with his wife Ylva, he has 2 children enrolled at the SIS. Kalle joined the Board of Trustees in February 2014.

Mrs. Jennifer Ericson

Jennifer Ericson has worked at SIS since 1997. She has taught in Primary, Middle Years, and the Diploma Programme at SIS. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in French from Saint Mary's College in California, a Secondary and Primary California Teaching Credential and a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in English Literature from Dalarna Högskolan. She presently teaches Grade 10, 11 and 12 Language and Literature and is CAS Coordinator. She has lived in Sweden since 1993 and presently lives in Nacka with her family.

Mr. Arthur French

Arthur French has served on the SIS board since 2007. He started his teaching career in 1970 and was a teacher at Stockholm International School for 39 years until his retirement in April 2012. During that time he served on the Board of the European League for Middle Level Education for 10 years, which included a 2 year term as president of that organization. He is originally from England and has two daughters who are both engaged in teaching.

Ms. Annika Henningsson

Annika Henningsson serves as the Economic Advisor to the Ambassador and other senior diplomats at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, a position she has held since 1997. Prior to that she worked at Stockholm University. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Lund University and she has one school-aged child.

Mr. Jahn Henry Lövaas

 

Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic

Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic was appointed SIS director in August 2013. Previously she worked as Associate Professor in Applied Linguistics at the University of Zagreb. She has written extensively on the topic of second language acquisition and multilingualism and is still teaching and supervising PhD students at the same university. Marta has extensive international experience having lived in Croatia, England, Ireland, Japan, Hungary and Sweden. She served as a Board member of the American International School of Budapest and as a chair/member of various Croatian and international educational committees and projects. In April 2016 she was elected a Board member of the ECIS. She has three children, all attending SIS.

Mr. Jan Ögren

Jan Ögren holds a position as Vice President and Head of Sales & Finance in Business Unit Global Services within the Ericsson Group. He joined the company in 1983 and has had various management positions both in Sweden and abroad, the most recent being: Head of Network Roll Out based in Stockholm (2008-2010), CFO & COO for Ericsson in North America based in Dallas (2006-2008) and before that Vice President and Head of Sales for Business Unit Systems (2003-2006). Since 2010 he has also been appointed President for Ericsson AB. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Stockholm.

Mr. Fredrik Sand

Mr. Fredrik Sand has been working for the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce since 2007. His responsibilities include advising on policy issues concerning Education, Research and Innovation and Information Technology. He is also involved in issues concerning the internationalisation of Stockholm, including expat issues. Before joining the Chamber, Mr Sand was a civil servant. Working for the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications for nine years, he also had assignments in London and in the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo. Mr Sand is also the Chairman of the Swedish Society for Computers and Law. Educated at the University of Stockholm and Sheffield University (UK), he holds a Master’s degree in Political Science.
